In Joel’s native language there isn’t a word for ‘goodbye’ but it is said ‘until that time we see each other again’ – I’m so thankful for the opportunity to come to the last frontier state and be apart of the beginnings of an incredible ministry that is focused upon touching the lives of the tribal people.
Luke, Molly, and I have all been touched by the genuiness, generosity, and heart of Joel and Trish. To see their dedication and tenacity to build a base from which to minister and to also to reach out during that time is inspiring!
Riding in a DeHavilland Pac Airplane for the jump from Thorne Bay to Ketchikan which is about a 20 minute flight…. The boat ride was 7+ hours.
Both are unique experiences and a treasured memory with Molly & Luke.
The plane is loud, and after getting airborne we had cell signal again… But not internet yet.
